The Taj Mahal tajmahal The mausoleum which is a living edifice commemorating eternal love. A “piece of tear drop in the cheek of eternity” as Rabindranath Tagore describes the monument. The legacy of Taj Mahal speaks volumes about the relationship between Mughal emperor Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The sight of the magnificent Taj in the moonlight is a view to behold. This grand mausoleum where the emperor and his wife are buried next to each other is closed on Fridays. A visit during one’s lifetime is must to the Taj Mahotsav held in February each year.
Jama Masjid fatepur A large mosque built in 1648 during the reign of the Shah Jahan for his daughter Princess Jahanara Begum. Its most noteworthy features include the absence of minarets and the bizarre dome.
Sikandra Akbar`s Tomb At Sikandra Not far from the Agra city, is emperor Akbar’s tomb Sikandra . Located 10 kilometers on the north of Agra, one can visit Sikandra anytime between sunrise to sunset. Four red sandstone gates lead to the tomb complex: one is Muslim, one Hindu, one Christian, and one is Akbar's exclusive mixture.
Agra Fort Agra A replica of the Red Fort in Delhi, Agra Fort is another tourist attraction in Agra. Built between 1565-1571, the fort renders a resplendent view of the Taj Mahal.
